When the Australian retail chain Cotton On contacted Bar None BBQ about participating in their Australia Day BBQ Sausage Sizzle at Fashion Valley, we jumped at the opportunity to “become an Aussie for the day”. Although Australia Day is celebrated annually on January 26th, the Cotton On event was held on January 25th to account for the time difference between San Diego and Australia. We served traditional “sausage sizzle” fare of beef sausages on white bread, topped with onions and tomato sauce, turning Cotton On customers into Aussies for the day. Now that we’re “Aussie on the inside” as well, we’re off to watch the Australian Open and Angry Boys!
